These online subscription accounting products are aimed at small and medium size business and share the major benefits of affordability, frequent free updates & feature additions, automated backups and anywhere access from your web browser; plus phone and tablet apps. QuickBooks Online claims a larger subscriber base than Xero and its desktop product is even more widely used and recognised, but Xero's growth rate cannot be ignored.
