David Benaim, founder of xlconsulting, has been recently promoted to the Cambodian Living Arts ("CLA") Acting Treasurer position. David's first professional engagement upon arriving in Cambodia in 2013 was as a volunteer at CLA for 2 and a half months. Following his placement, CLA took David on as a finance consultant, from June onwards, David's role is Acting Treasurer, where he liaises between members of the CLA board of trustees & the finance team at CLA. David has had a close relationship with the CLA staff and management team since arriving in Cambodia and is looking forward to the challenge ahead making further contributions to the organisation. |
The Institute of Chartered Accountants England & Wales (ICAEW) have nominated David as its Cambodia representative contact member. The ICAEW is the UK chartered accounting institution; one of the leading accounting institutions worldwide with over 140,000 members. In this volunteer position, David will act as a liaison between ICAEW members in Cambodia and the Institute. He will provide information and services to ICAEW members worldwide interested in the Cambodia market and organise social events for those members living in and visiting Cambodia. As part of this role, David attended the 5 year anniversary of the ICAEW office in Singapore which serves the South East Asia region & meetings to discuss the role of ICAEW in the ASEAN region.
