Over the last weekend, Nexus Carbon For Development (www.nexus-c4d.org) successfully migrated 20 staff inboxes from Zimbra Platform to Office 365 for Non Profits - a free cloud services product donated by Microsoft.
Nexus are now able to take advantage of superior email, calendaring and instant messaging on their desktop computers and mobile devices. Nexus added a paid subscription to desktop Microsoft Office 2013 for $2 per person per month. In addition to this, Office 365 includes personal file storage and corporate cloud file storage and sharing features. 
Nexus now have high-tech but low cost technologies to communicate and collaborate more efficiently and effectively.

Recently David Benaim, the founder of xlconsulting and its resident Microsoft Excel guru, provided two days of Microsoft Excel training for a Phnom Penh NGO; Nexus Carbon for Development.
Here is some feedback from one of the participants, Louise Robb:

The Nexus team, made up of tech heads, comms, finance and admin all participated in the two day Excel training course in July 2014.  David Benaim from Xlconsulting, tailored the course to our organisational needs, provided additional take home tasks, set the pace to suit everyone and provided an excellent resource for future reference.  The course is good value cost wise and has resulted in a much higher level of understanding across our organisation of what Excel can do and how to apply skills that many participants now use on a daily basis. Participants at various skill levels benefited, some took away certain skills and others took away techniques or formulas. The well-structured course proved to be one of the most valuable group training courses which Nexus has taken,  I highly recommend David as a trainer, he knows more short cuts than is humanly possible.
