Last week Microsoft announced the availability of the latest Office release, 2019. Office 2019 installs on any recent MacOS edition and Windows 10. Office 2019 includes many features released over the last three years for Office 365 subscribers. Going forward Office 365 subscribers will continue to get new features but Office 2019 owners will receive security and reliability enhancements only. Office 365 will continue to function on Windows 7 and 8 computers and will continue to be the best and latest version of Office for Mac and Windows. Office 2019 exists for organisations who are not ready for the cloud.

It has a handful of useful new features such as an improved screen grab tool, a cloud sync'd clipboard, and integrations with Android and iPhone. Edge browser has performance and battery life improvements. The October 2018 update continues to be a free update for all Windows 10 users.
